Hi, I'm Jana
I’m a professional bookkeeper and tax preparer who was born and raised on a farm in Western Oklahoma. I am an alumni of Southwestern Oklahoma State University, an Army Veteran, and now live in Michigan with my husband and 5 littles. When I was growing up, I watched my mom do the books for our small family farm, and as a young adult I took an interest in learning more about farm bookkeeping and started helping maintain the books. As the farm transitions to the next generation, I have had the opportunity to help my family migrate their bookkeeping to an online solution in preparation of a day when someone else will take over the bookkeeping.
The truth is, many families who own small local businesses and farms are faced with a difficult question: Who is going to do the books once mom – or any other family member – isn’t able to take care of it anymore? This question is what motivated me to focus my bookkeeping firm on serving main street businesses, small farms, and folks in the agriculture industry.
My goal is to help family businesses transition to the next generation successfully. Oftentimes, that means setting up an automated, online bookkeeping system that lets them tap into the financial insights they might have missed before. I love what I do because it ensures that my clients’ business will continue to provide for their families for generations to come and promotes the small town business culture I was raised in and love.
